Andrew L. Peredo, MD is a plastic surgeon who specializes in aesthetic surgery of the face, breast, and body, as well as reconstruction following surgery for breast cancer, skin cancer and burn injuries. He performs breast augmentations, breast lifts and reductions, tummy tucks, mommy makeovers, liposuction and body sculpting, rhinoplasties, face and neck lifts, eyelid surgery, breast reconstruction following mastectomy or lumpectomy for breast cancer, amongst many other procedures.
Dr. Peredo also performs non-surgical procedures with Botox and fillers for facial rejuvenation, asymmetries, and enhancement. Dr. Peredo is an artist who draws, paints and sculpts. His medical illustrations and articles that he has authored, have been published in top nationally recognized journals, as well as textbooks. His passion is to incorporate his aesthetic eye and artistic capabilities into creating the vision and natural results his patients desire and would like to achieve.
Dr. Peredo was born and raised in New York City, moved out to Huntington for high school, and has been there since. He graduated from Fordham University where he excelled at studying Natural Sciences as a major, and Art as a minor. He then attended St. George’s University for Medical School, where he was inducted into the prestigious Clinical Anatomic Research Society for the Top 1% of his class. He completed his General Surgery Internship at Mount Sinai Medical Center and completed his training in General Surgery at Stony Brook University. During his 4th year of training he was awarded The David J. Kreis Jr. Award for Excellence which exemplifies excellence both in clinical practice and medical research, education, communication, and compassionate care. After completing 5 years of General surgery, Dr. Peredo completed a fellowship in Burn & Reconstructive Plastic Surgery at the renowned Jacobi Medical Center. There he helped create 3D printed prosthetic limbs for children with congenital deformities of the extremities. Dr. Peredo then went to the University of Colorado for three years to complete his training in Plastic and Reconstructive surgery, where he learned from leaders in the field serving a large population, covering several states. While in Colorado he created an award-winning instrumental device to aide in microsurgical training, which he is still actively collaborating with.
When Dr. Peredo is not caring for patients, he enjoys spending time with his wife, two sons and two German Shepherds, Maverick and Goose. In his free time, he likes to work on his art as well as restore and build furniture.
